Job Overview:
The Senior Structural Engineer (Designer) Grade A is responsible for leading and overseeing the structural design aspects of various projects, ensuring that all designs are compliant with Qatar's building codes and regulations. This role requires expertise in structural analysis, design, and coordination with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality and innovative structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Lead the structural design process from concept through to detailed design, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international standards.
• Detailed structural design of concrete structures including high rise structures and infrastructure related buildings/ structures.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of structural designs and calculations to ensure integrity, safety, and quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to Qatar’s Grade A standards, building codes, and other relevant regulations.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review structural engineering reports, design drawings, and specifications.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing technical advice and ensuring that design objectives meet client expectations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Certification: Grade A registration with the Qatar Ministry of Municipality (MMUP/UPDA).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, PROKON) and CAD tools. Strong understanding of materials science and structural analysis. BIM is a plus.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Qatar and International’s building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
