Commercial Finance Manager - Product Cost (Fixed term)

The role will be covering two areas of the BAT EXPORTS Commercial space. For the 1st 3-4 months it will be covering the NPI Finance Manager role (sick leave) & then will cover the Product Cost Manager role (maternity leave).
The two roles are intertwining & the knowledge accumulated during the NPI period will provide a knowledge base for the Product cost area.
The key purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive, insightful and actionable end market level product cost analysis in support of COS reporting requirements at both legal entity and end market level. Supports the preparation of financial and commercial plans, forecasts and budgets
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage reporting of actual and forecast product cost, supporting end market and BAT EXPORTS COS reporting requirements
- Provide proactive, timely, insightful and actionable end market level analysis to ensure all collaborators have a clear view of drivers of product cost and product cost variances and understand the impact on end market profitability
- Deliver ad-hoc product cost and transfer price information to aid decision making
- Manage the financial reporting and forecasting of all business initiatives affecting product cost
- Proactively provide support to key partners in respect of product cost queries, driving issues resolution where necessary
- Defines and implements standard process planning and control techniques in line with business needs
- Manage month end processes via SLA with GBS, validate results and provide appropriate commentary.
- Coordinate the forecasting and payment of factory toll fees
- Manage Toll Fee adjustments on behalf of BAT EXPORTS in partnership with factory finance.
- Coordinate product cost/COS input into all internal and external audits.
- Play a key role in the management of business change initiatives, ensuring appropriate project management approaches are adopted to ensure successful delivery of initiatives on time and in full
- Manage and develop a team of two direct reports
- Develop a culture of service and delivery, striving for quality and timeliness of delivery.
- Support wider team and end market finance teams through knowledge transfer and a flexible approach.
- Build a strong network within BAT to ensure that issues can be quickly identified and resolved.
