Delivery Director

Role Overview:
The Delivery Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all projects within mindit.io. This role requires close collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, Sales, Business Development, Recruitment, and Technical Teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery for existing clients, while enabling and supporting the company's rapid growth. As the company scales, the Delivery Director will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, adapting to dynamic conditions, and balancing strategic goals with execution.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery Oversight:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Portfolio Managers
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Establish and maintain clear metrics for tracking project performance (e.g., KPIs, SLAs) and ensure consistent reporting
  • Develop and implement robust processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability across the project management lifecycle
  • Lead periodic reviews of project progress, identifying risks and issues, and ensuring timely resolution
2. Collaboration with Sales and Business Development:
  • Work closely with the sales and business development teams to align delivery capabilities with business growth objectives
  • Participate in client-facing activities, including sales pitches and solution design, ensuring that delivery capabilities match the needs of new and existing clients
  • Assess new client engagements for feasibility and resource requirements, supporting scoping and pricing with a delivery-focused perspective
3. Supporting Organizational Growth:
  • Help shape the strategic vision for scaling the delivery organization in line with projected company growth
  • Build and adapt delivery frameworks and methodologies that support rapid scaling without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to ensure timely hiring and onboarding of new people, based on delivery demand
4. Stakeholder and Client Management:
  • Act as a key point of escalation for clients on delivery matters, ensuring that client expectations are managed and communication is clear and proactive
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to support alignment and effective collaboration
  • Maintain regular interaction with clients to ensure satisfaction and preemptively address any concerns or challenges
5. Collaboration with Technical Organisation:
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Technology and technical leadership to ensure technical feasibility and innovation are integrated into project delivery
  • Ensure the balance between technical execution and delivery timelines, maintaining alignment on resource allocation, development priorities, and risk management
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve synergy between technical and delivery teams
6. Risk and Resource Management:
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across the project portfolio
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation, balancing the needs of individual projects with the overall portfolio
  • Manage delivery budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively
7. Process Improvement and Adaptability:
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve delivery processes, methodologies and tools to adapt to the dynamic market and internal scaling needs
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, and implementing lessons learned across teams
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and integrate innovative solutions into the company’s delivery approach

  • Experience supporting sales and business development in designing scalable solutions for clients

  • Solid understanding of software development processes and the technical aspects of product delivery
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams to ensure that technical realities align with delivery expectations
