The main focus, as part of the Research and Advanced Engineering (RAE) team, is on applied research in machine learning (ML), aimed at solving problems and tackling real-world challenges, with an emphasis on innovation, based on state-of-the-art technologies and beyond.

Do you want to be an Intern the Research and Advanced Engineering team? These should spark your interest:

• Understand, implement, and analyse state-of-the-art ML algorithms;
• Modify ML applications according to requirements;
• Use appropriate datasets and data representation methods;
• Run ML tests and experiments;
• Participate in results analysis and model fine-tuning;
• Train and retrain models when necessary;
• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks.

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.

You would be a perfect match to our team if you:

• Are enrolled in your last year of Bachelor’s or 1st year of Master’s studies in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, or similar field;
• Have good knowledge of Python;
• Have basic Machine Learning knowledge (anomaly detection with time series data is considered an advantage);
• Have understanding of data structures, data modelling, and software architectures;
• Have knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms;
• Have familiarity with machine learning frameworks, such as Tensor Flow/Keras, is considered an advantage.
• Have demonstrated ability to learn and be creative, with a strong sense of independence and teamwork;
• Have ability to research various topics in the field would be considered an advantage;
• Have excellent communication skills;
• Have good communication skills in English.
