Job opportunity - Vertiv is looking for a new IT Project Manager, Service Applications to join our dynamic team in Cluj-Napoca, Romania !

Vertiv is focusing on overhauling the technology landscape of the Service business by rewriting the application ecosystem needed for our Customer Engineer activities for pre-visit, during the visit, and post-visit activities. This role will be responsible for leading the project Governance for activities principally impacting the IT department during the application development phase, infrastructure setup, process definition through to production release. The project is multi-year and all activities are international and global in scope, with the need to engage with different global functions and cultures.


What kind of work will you be doing?

• Definition of scope.

• Planning of activities.

• Tracking of activities.

• Risk and issue management.

• Budget management.

• Communication management.

• Creating a WBS and Work Plan.

• Delivering the project on time and on budget.

• Preparation and delivery of effective presentations.

• Identification of project risks and their mitigation.

• Interactions with: Managers or technical persons in the IT Department line of business, Managers or functional persons in the Service line of business, 3rd Party Vendors and Functions such as Legal, Procurement, Finance.

• Occasional international travel may be required – up to 20 days per year.
  

What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?


• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Excellent skills in IT project management in global contexts.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, able to influence others.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering and IT operations staff.
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of ITSM processes.
• Good knowledge of Agile development methodology.
• Basic knowledge of IT enterprise architecture and applications landscape.
• (Preferred) Knowledge of the Mendix low-code-no-code platform.
• Preferred Master/Bachelor’s degree with preference for Information Systems or Computer Science as field of study.
• 5+ year of experience in the role of IT Project Manager in global context.
