Quality & Food Safety

In Romania, ADM provides services in its own silos as well as transportation with its own pushers, being one of the largest port operators in the Black Sea Port of Constanta, handling barley, rapeseed, wheat, sunflower seeds and corn, as well as various other commodities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures the implementation of procedures in ADM laboratories and silos, regarding: Quality and Food Safety Management System, Good Laboratory Practices, Quality Standards, HACCP.
• Monitor the activity of the silos in terms of product quality: check receipts and deliveries by sampling, check the way of keeping stocks, application and compliance with all procedures; promote in the locations the requirements of customers in terms of quality and food safety.
• Organizes, reports and applies corrective measures for cross checks between equipment/ locations to ensure proper/ correct analysis.
• Provides support to laboratory teams and location managers on current quality issues.
• Conducts internal staff training in the field of food quality and food safety;
• Checks laboratory equipment, ensures their proper functioning. Organizes the calibration, calibration, metrological verification.
• Verifies and prepares documentation for internal and external audits; follows up the implementation of action plans established following audits.
• Provides support to the control department in terms of monthly/annual stocktaking and verification of AJGs.
• Coordinates appointed surveyors in own and third party locations on quality and food safety aspects.
• Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained in laboratories and sample rooms.
• Together with the quality manager and the teams involved, participates in the development of vessel loading plans so that they comply with the contractual requirements; monitors their loading, ensures that there are no quality deviations or food safety risks; maintains communication with the appointed surveyors.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Industry.
• Completion of an auditor course on food safety systems and HACCP is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years in the relevant field of quality, storage, preservation of cereals and oilseeds.
• Proficiency in English at an intermediate level.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
• Valid Category B driver's license.
