Senior/Staff GPU Software Engineer

We are a dedicated group of Software Engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the Open CL Conformant GPU Compute Driver software for Imagination GPUs. Our Open CL Compute Driver empowers users to create a wide array of compute workloads, including those for AI and ML, tailored for our GPUs using Open CL/SYCL programming specifications. We collaborate closely with compiler teams, customers, hardware architects, compute libraries teams, and the open-source community to ensure our drivers meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will:

• Participate in the development of a GPU compute software stack, which includes both Runtime and Driver.
• Implement new GPGPU driver features, tailored to meet the requirements of AI, Automotive, and Data-center workloads.
• Incorporate next-gen GPU architecture features into the compute software stack.
• Conduct performance analysis of AI/Automotive workloads and identifying bottlenecks.

You'll have:

• Experience in software development using C or C++.
• Experience with GPU Compute APIs such as HIP, CUDA, or Open CL.
• A solid understanding of CPU/GPU memory management, concurrency, and synchronization.
• A good understanding of computer architecture, including CPU, Cache, MMU, Memory, etc.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices like Git, Perforce, Jenkins, and JIRA.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude.

You might also have:

• Experience in User Mode Driver or Kernel Mode Driver development.
• A good understanding of GPU hardware/software architecture.
• Previous exposure to AI/ML frameworks.
• Familiarity with Sy CL/One API/UXL.
• Experience with LLM and Gen AI workloads on edge devices.
