Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Credit/Collection Specialist to manage and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices and assess customer creditworthiness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, analyzing credit data, managing past-due accounts, and working closely with customers to resolve payment issues. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of credit and collections processes.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, analyzing credit data, managing past-due accounts, and working closely with customers to resolve payment issues. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of credit and collections processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the company’s accounts receivable portfolio to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
- Review and approve credit limits for customers based on financial risk analysis.
- Communicate with customers to follow up on overdue invoices, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure smooth and effective collection processes.
- Prepare aging reports and regularly review overdue accounts to minimize delinquency.
- Collaborate with the sales and accounting teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Escalate collection issues to senior management when necessary and recommend legal actions for severely delinquent accounts.
- Record and update customer payment statuses in the accounting system, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit procedures, and local regulations.
- Prepare monthly reports on collection activities, delinquency rates, and credit risks.
- Assist in developing strategies to improve the efficiency of the credit and collection process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit/Collection Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of credit and collections processes, financial risk analysis, and account management.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations with customers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Experience working in the Saudi Arabian market or with regional clients.
- Familiarity with Saudi financial regulations and collection laws.
- Experience in managing high volumes of accounts and collections in a fast-paced environment.
