Junior Occupational Therapist (OT) – Mobility Products Specialist

Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven entry-level Occupational Therapist to join our team in Jeddah, specializing in mobility products, primarily wheelchairs, for hospital settings. This role is perfect for a fresh graduate eager to develop skills in the medical device sector and assist with the implementation and training of mobility solutions that help improve patient mobility and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Familiarization and Assessment Support
- Learn to assess patient and hospital needs for mobility solutions, under the guidance of senior OTs.
- Support in recommending and selecting appropriate wheelchair products based on initial assessments and patient requirements.
- Assist with basic product customizations and adjustments to meet patient comfort and mobility standards.
- Training and Support for Healthcare Staff
- Shadow senior OTs to observe training sessions provided to hospital staff, learning to deliver effective education on the use, maintenance, and adjustment of mobility devices.
- Gradually take on responsibilities for conducting hands-on training for staff, such as demonstrations on wheelchair functionality.
- Client and Customer Relations
- Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for hospital staff and clients to answer initial questions and support mobility device usage.
- Gain experience in managing client inquiries, troubleshooting common product issues, and providing basic adjustments as needed.
- Learning and Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing training to deepen knowledge of occupational therapy principles, mobility solutions, and wheelchair customization.
- Stay informed about trends in mobility aids and assistive technologies, especially regarding wheelchair products and patient ergonomics.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Assist in maintaining documentation related to assessments, training sessions, and client interactions to ensure accurate tracking of services provided.
- Support in generating simple reports on client feedback and product performance for the senior team to review.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from a recognized institution (fresh graduates welcome).
- Licensing: Eligible or licensed to practice as an OT in Saudi Arabia.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, interested in learning about technical support and customer service.
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic is required; basic English is beneficial.
- Other Qualities: A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Contract length: 12 months
