Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and project estimation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the pre-contract and design stages of projects, focusing on reviewing designs, preparing estimations, and developing comprehensive project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all design information and engineering drawings during the pre-contract and design stages.
- Prepare high-level, detailed estimations for projects during the tender phase.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (Bo Q) and preambles for tender documentation and client submission.
- Prepare material take-offs and detailed Bo Qs for projects.
- Create a detailed breakdown structure for contracts and projects, defining specific scopes as per the contract.
- Estimate costs, including scope, pricing, labor, materials, equipment, and rates.
- Handle escalations effectively and deliver complete and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Assist senior estimating leads and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work on ERP systems to manage tasks efficiently and maintain clear documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, proactively solving challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in project estimation, sales engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project estimation, material take-offs, and Bo Q preparation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project management tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
