Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. The System Administrator will ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Monitor system performance and ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
- Manage network servers and technology tools.
- Set up accounts and workstations.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data security.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Monitor the performance of network and computer systems.
- Manage and configure virtualization and cloud-based services.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of system and network administration.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Comp TIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
