We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager / Manager with a strong passion for science and Singapore to be part of our team.

Job Responsibilities:
Programme Development: Support the development and execution of strategies to build a broad base of industry-relevant R&D programmes, capabilities and infrastructure. This includes embarking on technology foresighting, roadmapping exercises and evaluation of new R&D programmes to support industry and public sector needs.
Programme Management: Ensure good governance and knowledge management as a custodian of public funding, and effective management of key research programmes for Singapore institutes and research performers. This includes the efficient grant management in compliance with relevant grant rules and guidelines, so as to ensure judicious and prudent management of research resources.
Working closely with A*STAR and Singapore's research units to understand their capabilities and relevance to the public agencies and the industry.
Oversee and manage key A*STAR research institutes to build strong scientific excellence in food science and technologies, including providing oversight and input on research institutes' scientific strategy and research focus, and ensuring judicious and prudent management of research resources.
Support the development and management of A*STAR's relationships with public sector agencies, companies and negotiate win-win collaborative terms.
Support the fostering of long-term R&D partnerships with public agencies, local small medium enterprises, startups, multinational companies and institutes of higher learning to create an end-to-end innovation and vibrant R&D ecosystem for Singapore.

Job Requirements:
Degree or postgraduate degree in Food & Nutrition, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in public sector agency, industry R&D and/or in a science-based role in industry
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Excellent organising, planning and analytical skills
Thrives in complex situations involving multiple stakeholders
Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal, communication and writing skills
Willingness to learn, with adaptability and flexibility to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
