The Military Avionics & Helicopters Asia-Pacific team is focused on delivering integrated aviation solutions for both military and commercial customers across the APAC region. We are seeking a leader for the Military Avionics & Helicopters APAC team in region; directing the activities of a cross functional team to build relationships, win new business, and deliver reliable solutions on time.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role leads the activities of the Military Avionics & Helicopters portfolio in the Asia-Pacific region for Collins Aerospace. This is an exciting, fast-paced, growing key business area
Leading the APAC team (and US engineering and operations teams) to deliver on existing contracts to include engineering development, production, and coordination of sustainment
In concert with other functional experts, formulates the strategy to expand our footprint in region, including prioritization of business objectives, identifying solutions, and defining requirements that lead to orders, sales, and earnings growth in the market segment
Leverages Collins Management System in addressing all program needs required to be successful in global market
Key role in collaborating on common solution roadmaps across the Military Avionics & Helicopters business portfolio, the Avionics strategic business unit and more broadly across Collins Aerospace
Responsible for leading and development of 2 Value Stream Leaders, each in different phases of career development
Drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality
Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs

This position will require international/domestic travel of ~25%
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Requires advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Excellent communications and team-building skills; able to effectively create and share a vision across a broad Integrated Project Team (IPT)
Ability to influence and negotiate with customers to achieve enterprise commitments while improving customer satisfaction and addressing program opportunities/risks
Ability to lead highly complex teams with matrixed responsibilities
Pursuit or capture and program execution experience
Experience working with commercial and military customers and has specific APAC regional knowledge of cultural norms throughout
Capable of leading the development needs of assigned personnel regardless of experience level to ensure the next generation of Value Stream Leaders are prepared for their next challenge
