Sephora SEA’s omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).


The opportunity:

Executive, Logistics


The Logistics Executive has the responsibility to ensure smooth and efficient management of international flows for Sephora South-East Asia B2B and B2C by coordinating with and managing Freight Forwarders and Transportation Partners.


This role also involves supporting and providing backup for warehouse operations and management.

Import and Export Operations (B2B and Inter-Company Flows)

• Coordinating with Sephora’s Regional Supply Planning and Procurement team: Documentation validation as well as approval to ship
• Coordinating with Country Teams as well as other functional departments: Shipping requirements and arrangements, document preparation and validation
• Coordinating with Freight Forwarders and Transportation Partners: Tracking of shipment (lead-times, quality), claims management
• Providing tracking visibility to internal stakeholders

Freight Management

• Monitoring costs and service level agreements, defining corrective actions to cope with budget
• Monitoring KPI and conducting monthly performance review on transportation activity and action plans to reach objectives
• Monitoring and auditing compliances with safety, environmental and sustainability requirements
• Managing relationship with transportation partners (e.g., performance review, cost control)
• Freight Invoice Validation
• Managing Freight Tenders, yearly or as an when required

Customs Declaration Management

• Coordinating with Transportation Partners and Category team: Ensuring full and proper documentation of MSDS for DG Shipments
• Ensuring permit declared is in accordance with the Singapore Custom Clearance regulations

Project Involvement

• Key Business User for projects involving freight (best practice sharing etc.)

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management or Supply Chain
• 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding, familiar with the import and export operation and good knowledge on customs
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Good analytical skills, able to perform reliable data analysis with the use of Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work across functional areas and levels of the organization
  • Able to influence stakeholders and navigate a matrix set-up
• Meticulous, proactive and possess learning agility
