Finance Manager | Full-Time

About the role
The Finance Manager’s scope at This Humid House’s HQ in Singapore consists of projections, budgeting, analysis, reporting, as well as executing day-to-day operational tasks, such as processing invoices and payments, accounting, group procurement etc. The role also supports the finance function of our studio in Paris, and will work together with third-party accounting companies.
This scope includes the company’s HR and administrative functions, such as managing payroll, issuing company letters, handling documents like insurance, contracts etc.
This is a mid-career position with the potential to develop into a senior role with team management opportunities, and the candidate will work very closely with and report to the General Manager. We are looking for someone with agility, flexibility and high autonomy, who would be comfortable in a SME environment.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to
Finance Management
  • Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, cashflow, balance sheet, expenses etc.
  • Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
  • Budgeting and forecasting for the business
  • Liaising with third party accountants, external auditors and tax agents
  • Strengthening current internal control and process improvement
Finance Operations
  • Monthly finance reporting and cash flow projections
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Processing invoices, payments and expense claims
  • Processing payroll
  • Liaising with third party accountants, external auditors and tax agents
  • Resolve financial disputes raised by the customers or internal teams
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Review and implement financial policies
  • Strengthening current internal control and process improvement
Group Procurement
  • Doing group procurement of bulk items for better cost control
  • Working with internal teams to maintain stock levels for inventory
Administrative & HR Matters
  • Processing and filing company registration and documentations
  • Collection of personal particulars for HR records
  • Issuing of official letters
  • Assisting to gather information with regards to fulfilling company’s goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and regulations
  • Strategic and analytical skills that has the ability to think out of the box
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in relevant scopes
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Officer / Manager or similar role is a bonus
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
  • Tech savviness and the openness to embrace new technologies and ways of working
  • Proficiency in Xero is a bonus
  • Adaptability, flexibility and the desire to keep learning
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Ability to stick to time constraints
