Fund Onboarding Specialist Fixed Term Contract

The Fund Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new funds and investors into the firm’s platform. The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including fund administrators, legal, compliance, and operations teams, to ensure that all necessary documentation and regulatory requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. This person will also have an opportunity to participate in projects.

The candidate will have experience in fund setup, working knowledge of fund structures (e.g., mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity), and expertise in client onboarding processes within asset management.
Key Responsibilities:

Fund Onboarding Process:
Lead and manage the onboarding process for new funds, ensuring that all operational, regulatory, and legal requirements are addressed.
Client Documentation:
Review, coordinate, and approve all client documentation (e.g., subscription agreements, AML/KYC documents) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Cross-Department Coordination:
Work closely with legal, compliance, fund accounting, and operations teams to facilitate fund launches and ensure all parties are aligned.
Due Diligence:
Perform due diligence on new investors and partners, ensuring all documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, FATCA).
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all fund structures comply with local and international regulations, including FATCA, CRS, Mi FID, AIFMD, etc.
Investor Communication:
Act as a key point of contact for clients during the onboarding process, ensuring all queries are addressed, and timelines are met.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of onboarding processes, client documentation, and fund structures in internal systems.
Process Improvement:
Continuously seek ways to streamline and improve the onboarding process to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field. CFA/CAIA qualifications are a plus.
Experience:
5 to 8 years of experience in fund onboarding, fund operations, or a related area within asset management, private equity, or hedge funds.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fund structures, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FATCA, CRS, AML/KYC).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in fund administration platforms and Microsoft Office. Experience with investor onboarding platforms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of regulatory environments across different jurisdictions.
Prior experience in project management or process optimization within financial services.
