An established Insurance company is seeking a Head of Marine to be based in Singapore. As a key executive within the commercial line business, the Marine Head will play a pivotal role in shaping the business strategy and expanding the company’s market presence and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the marine underwriting strategy in line with the company’s objectives and risk appetite.
- Oversee the assessment, evaluation, and pricing of marine insurance risks, including cargo, hull, and liability coverages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders in the marine insurance market.
- Lead the marine underwriting team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; professional insurance qualifications are highly desirable.
- Over 10 years of experience in marine insurance underwriting, with a proven track record in managing and leading teams.
- Strong track record of managing relationships with brokers, clients, and external partners.
- Excellent communication, numerical, and presentation skills.
