Sylvan Capital Management Pte. Ltd. is a Licensed Fund Manager under the Monetary Authority of Singapore, headquartered in Singapore. The Company manages a private equity fund that focuses on private equity growth capital/buyout investments in mid-market companies in the Asia Pacific region.
We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to help augment our growing team. This is a diverse and varied role that will oversee and provide technical review across financial, tax and regulatory reporting as well as leading on the review and presentation of management accounts to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the private equity fund accounting and finance
- Prepare/review monthly and quarterly financial work papers for portfolio companies
- Review valuations provided by the investment team
- Perform Forecasts of the Fund Manager’s performance and cash flows, as well as overseeing the performance and cash flow of target companies
- Work with external stakeholders such as fund administers, tax advisers, auditors, etc. to manage the reporting process
- Work with compliance officers on the compliance-related matters
- Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are met
- Monitoring cash flows and cash balances
- Liaise with the investment team to provide them support from an accounting and finance perspective during investment transactions
- Handle operational duties in relation to the formation and maintenance of a Fund
- Liaise with regulators including, but not limited to, the MAS and handle the necessary and relevant documents in accordance with the regulatory requirement
- Handle the consolidation of the Partnership

Requirements:
- At least 20 years of fund accounting & finance experience with exposure to the Private Equity Fund industry
- At least 10 years of operational experience in world-renown firms
- Good references from previous positions
- Experience on Fund formations in more than one jurisdiction, in relation to taxation and exit strategies
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to make judgements/recommendations
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, diligent and responsible
- Extensive knowledge over type of buyout strategies and market analysis
