Job Description:

As a Retail Assistant Manager , you will play a key role in supporting the store manager with daily operations, ensuring seamless store management, and delivering top-notch customer service. You will oversee sales, staff management, inventory control, and visual merchandising to achieve store objectives. This role is perfect for individuals with strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to drive sales.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:

• Assist the store manager with day-to-day operations , including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
• Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures .

Customer Service:

• Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Resolve challenging situations to maintain high customer satisfaction .

Sales & Revenue Generation:

• Work closely with the store manager to implement sales strategies and monitor sales performance.
• Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee store inventory levels , product ordering, and stock management.
• Analyze sales data and make decisions to optimize inventory levels and product assortment.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Supervise and lead store staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Foster a positive work environment and support staff development.

Visual Merchandising:

• Maintain an attractive and organized store layout aligned with the brand image.
• Implement visual merchandising standards and update displays regularly.

Marketing & Promotions:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions and events aimed at driving footfall and increasing sales.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in retail management, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
• Good understanding of the retail environment and industry trends.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks.
• Flexibility to work retail shift hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Information:

• Salary : Up to $3,500 basic + variable bonus + weekend allowance (discussed during interview)
• Location : Clementi Rd,
• Working hours : Weekday shifts: 8am-6pm / 9am-7pm, Weekend shifts: 8am-5pm / 9am-6pm (depending on roster)
• Working days : 5 days per week (1 weekday and 1 weekend off)
