Treasury Specialist - Singapore

The candidate will be a core member of the Regional Treasury team based in Singapore. The candidate will work in a team supporting the Global Treasury Center requirements for Alibaba International Digital Commerce (AIDC). The candidate will manage multiple countries’ operational requirements, and will need to interact with multiple parties on a frequent basis, including other Treasury functions/ pillars and Finance teams, Finance Tech team, Project Management teams as well as various external partners including banks and payment service providers.
The candidate will report into the Regional Head of Treasury based in Singapore with key responsibilities as below.
- Responsible for the transaction execution and processing for the countries & entities assigned. Ensure transactions are processed timely and accurately in the banking portal as well as various internal payment systems.
- Attend to various payment-related queries from internal stakeholders. Liaise with banks to resolve any operational issues. Maintain all bank statements in a central depository. Manage any documentation requirement as required.
- Liaise with banks for various banking documentation preparation and update, and coordinate documentation for execution.
- Provide support on cash flow analyses to understand the working capital requirements for assigned entities/ countries
- Provide support on implementation of global cash pooling structures and other banking or internal system solutions for the Global Treasury Center
- Partner with various teams to streamline and simplify payment processing, and support automation projects. Participate in projects to support implementation of new payment method and new business models.
- Familiar with payment landscape and payment methods by countries to support payment operations.
- Prepare/ support internal and external operational reportings.
- Execute and comply with treasury control requirements.
- Possess a degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the Treasury-related areas. Experience in treasury operational requirements for Asia / US / Europe would be highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (eg Pivot & v Lookup)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & problem solving.
- Results and detail-oriented, team player, strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment where multi-tasking and short timelines are met with consistent ability to achieve financial accuracy.
