Africa Operations Manager (Mechanical) – Sandton, Johannesburg.

Our client is looking for a suitably experienced person to oversee the hiring operations. Although being based in South Africa the position will require regular and extensive travel into Africa, visiting the various sites where machinery is being deployed.

Job Description:

• Check & monitor the parts stock levels.
• Be part of the stock ordering process.
• Meet & facilitate all aspects of the relationship with the client.
• Management of the existing relationship with the client.
• Seeking opportunities to further grow the business in the countries we currently operate as well as new countries.
• Sound financial understanding of the business to ensure targets are met and grown.

Requirements:

• This position requires a mature individual with a good mechanical knowledge of machinery and its operation.
• The individual does not need to be a qualified diesel mechanic, although, this would be useful.
• The individual must have good administrative, communication and IT skills to match the requirements of the position.
