E-commerce Manager

1. Expand on Proudly SA’s current e-commerce strategic plan which will include but is not limited to approaching Proudly SA members with e Commerce stores to set up a Proudly SA store and/or utilise the Proudly SA logo where possible and/or support Proudly SA members by including them in their supply chains and/or awarding more shelf space for member’s products/services.
2. Approach other established stores (and secure relationships) for them to set up a Proudly SA store and/or allow members to utilize the Proudly SA logo where possible and/or support Proudly SA members by including them in their supply chains and/or awarding more shelf space for member’s products/services.
3. Facilitate the seamless and the efficient listing of Proudly SA members’ products and services on member and non-member online stores as per #1 and #2 above and keeping a record of the number of members and products/services listed as well as sales facilitated for members through the Proudly SA e Commerce strategy so to measure impact.
4. Project manage the development and launch of Proudly SA’s e Commerce store, as well as ensure the platform on a day-to-day basis, operationally, is run efficiently to ensure all Proudly SA member companies’ products and services are listed and sales are facilitated:
4.1 Liaise with internal teams (IT, projects team, marketing team, and membership teams) to ensure the success of the platform in terms of integration with current platforms, systems and programmes, the site is hosted without interruption, ensure the project deadlines are met, the platform is in line with the Proudly SA corporate identity, and the site is marketed to ensure it becomes popular with consumers and buyers within the private sector,
4.2 Liaise with external teams (technical expert/s and service providers) for development and continuous uninterrupted functioning of the online store,
4.3 Liaise with (new and renewing) members and assist them to ensure they enlist their products and services on the online store efficiently,
4.4 Review existing and develop new/improved policies and procedures to contribute to the optimal functioning of the online store,
4.5 Produce management reports to relay the functioning and performance of the platform in terms of (the growth of) listing information, fulfilment of orders (sales, payment to vendors and delivery of orders), managing of service providers and Proudly SA stakeholders, projects/campaigns on the online store, and expos (VEXPO), if applicable, as well as any other reports as required by the management team.
5. Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual (if applicable) reports on all elements linked to Proudly SA’s participation in external e Commerce platforms as well as Proudly SA’s own online store as required by the Management Team.
6. Keep abreast of industry standards in terms of e Commerce in South Africa and provide feedback to the management team for possible application to its own strategy/online store.
Requirements
Commerce/IT-related degree or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of five years management and/or related experience.
Minimum of two years’ experience in operationally managing an e-commerce site.
Knowledgeable of the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008, e-commerce, online platform processes and procedures.
Proficient in MS Office and e Commerce programmers/software.
Drivers License, own vehicle and willingness to travel as and when required.
