We are currently seeking a compassionate and caring Enrolled Nurse (EN) with a passion for elderly care to join a dynamic care team at a respected assisted living facility in South Cape Town.
Facility Location: Fish Hoek, Western Cape
Position Details:
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: R98,00 - R118,00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Position Details:

- Overtime and additional compensation available for public holidays and extra hours.
- Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Perform nursing procedures such as administering oral, topical, and subcutaneous medications under the supervision of an RN.
- Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the RN or Nursing Manager.
- Participate in care planning and contribute to the well-being and dignity of residents by delivering compassionate, respectful care.
- Support the interdisciplinary team in implementing individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care during shift handovers.
- Assist with new resident admissions and discharges in accordance with the facility’s policies.
- Promote and maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including infection control and emergency procedures.
- Assist with documentation and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Diploma or certificate in nursing from a recognized institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, geriatric, or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
