Job Description: As the General Manager of Protea Marriott Franschhoek, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations. You will ensure that our guests receive the highest level of care while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency. This hands-on role requires a strategic leader who is passionate about hospitality and committed to excellence.

Pay: R50 000,00 - R58 000,00 per month

Job Description: As the General Manager of Protea Marriott Franschhoek, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations. You will ensure that our guests receive the highest level of care while maintaining profitability and operational efficiency. This hands-on role requires a strategic leader who is passionate about hospitality and committed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for the hotel, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
- Oversee daily operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring standards of service and cleanliness are met.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage the budgeting and financial planning process, ensuring targets are met and costs are controlled.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
- Maintain strong relationships with guests, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotions and packages to attract diverse clientele.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and management practices.
- Previous experience with Marriott hotels is a significant advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and develop budgets.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and service excellence.
- A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Must live in the Franschhoek/Paarl area or be able to relocate.
