Junior Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and executing all aspects of our company's export logistics operations.
- Managing and monitoring the transportation of goods from the point of origin to the final destination.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Supporting traders by finding the most cost-effective solution to transport cargo.
- Providing support to the senior logistics team as required.
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including customs documentation and transportation costs.
- Conducting market research and analysis to stay up to date with the African market and customs regulations.
- Knowledge of pre-shipment inspection requirements for African countries will be advantageous.
- Identifying and resolving any logistical issues that may arise during the transportation process
- Managing and tracking shipments to ensure clients are notified of any delays affecting on-time delivery.
- Preparing and presenting reports on export logistics activities as required.
- Updating ERP documentation from order to final invoice posting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in export logistics, preferably in an African context
- Knowledge of African customs regulations and import/export laws advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel – Moderate to Advanced skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Portuguese & French advantageous
