As part of the KAL Group Ltd – a diversified JSE-listed retail group that operates in agricultural retail, fuel & convenience, and manufacturing markets – you will join a group of companies with more than 270 operating units across South Africa and Namibia.
Job Specification
Reporting to the Executive Manager Logistics, the incumbent will on a rotational basis, be responsible for one of the four workstreams of the Distribution Centre. (Workstreams: Inbound, Inventory, Picking, Outbound).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Logistics)
- 4 years related experience
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Driver’s License & own transport
- Blue Yonder WMS experience will be an advantage
Key performance indicators

Growth
- Forecasting and planning of resource requirements (people and equipment) to support DC Throughput growth
- Forecasting and planning of warehousing space allocation requirements to support DC Throughput growth
- Forecasting and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirements to support DC Throughput growth
- Initiation and execution of DC resource optimisation initiatives
- Optimising warehousing operations (materials handling)
- Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement
- Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards
- Set performance expectations, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations
- Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements
- Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC
- Monitoring of systems service provider support
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses
