About the location:
Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is located in the heart of Seoul, offering world-class customized services and sophisticated features based on its craft and expertise. The Hotel, standing tall with 29 glittering stories, is meant to look like an ancient Korean palace of old, but stylized and brought into the 21st century. Classic Korean nature motifs and modern aesthetics adorn the décor, reflecting the surrounding mountain backdrop and views of Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces. The Hotel features 8 distinct restaurants and bars, including award-winning Yu Yuan and the secret speakeasy Charles H., ranked as the Best Bar in Korea and one of the Asia's 50 Best Bars. The rest of the hotel is equally stunning with the works of over 130 Korean artists featured throughout the establishment. The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is looking for a Catering Coordinator, who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. We are looking for a candidate that is dedicated to creating personalized experiences and lasting memories for our guests. This position reports to the Catering/Conference Service Manager.

Education
College above education background


Experience
At least 1 year work experience in international hotel chain

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintains an effective working relationship within the departmental with all other departments in the hotel
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with department policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position
  • Provide in-house support to Catering persons including handling telephone calls, handling various routine communications functions e.g. distribution of daily event lists, amendment form, and group resume etc.
  • Support Champion of Golden Sales & Catering to maintain the system
  • Ensure databases are updated on a regular basis.
  • Maintains professional business confidentiality
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Keep update to date with event / group details related to the accounts of Catering Managers / Conference Service Managers
  • Assists Catering Manager / Executive in liaising with other department for information e.g. liaise with Banquet Operations for floor plans and equipment, Chef for special menus etc.
  • Handles guests' requests independently by supplying information, contacting concerned departments to assist in guests' requests and needs.
  • Responsible for assisting the managers in typing / filing correspondence such as proposals, Letters of Agreement, Contracts, BEOs, Thank You letters, Site inspection memo, Reports etc.
  • Maintains a proper filing and trace system for the department.
  • Responsible for maintaining the general tidiness of the department and ensuring sufficient stock of stationery and other office supplies.
  • Maintains a good understanding of clients serviced by Catering / Conference Service Manager
  • Prepares relevant reports – including those in the system - on behalf of the Catering / Conference Service Manager
  • Conducts site inspections if required.
  • Assists in ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervising Catering / Conference Service Manager
  • Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleagues.
  • Giving feedback in a timely, professional and constructive manner.
  • Ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Ready to support any operational crunch within the Hotel or off-site events, Hotel run events.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities or changes required by Management.
  • To adhere to personal behavioral norms of integrity such as grooming, ownership, contractibility, accountability, responsibility, visibility, punctuality and the like.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep, cleanliness and improvement of office / desk / catering facilities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or department head according to changing business, economic, customer needs or restructure within Sales & Marketing department.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong oral and written skills in both English and Korean, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Good organization skill, communication and understanding skill, professional and sense of team work

Visa Requirements
Must already possess valid work authorization in South Korea.
