Position: English Teacher
Location: Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea
Start Date: Late October 2024 or Early March 2025
Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated English teacher to join our team in Gangnam, Seoul, to provide interactive and effective language instruction for young learners at the kindergarten and elementary levels. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about teaching and eager to experience South Korea's vibrant culture.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons for kindergarten and elementary students.
• Plan and implement creative lesson plans to foster language development.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and participation.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with school staff and communicate with parents to discuss student development.
• Participate in school events and activities to contribute to a positive school culture.

Schedule

• Teaching Days: Monday to Friday
• School Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: 2.5 million KRW (negotiable based on experience)
• Vacation: 11 working days, plus all national holidays
• Housing: Furnished one-room accommodation provided or housing allowance available

Visa Requirements

• Visa Requirement: F2/D2 Visa holders only
• Native English speaker (Canada, USA, South Africa, Ireland, UK, Australia, or New Zealand).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Education, English, or a related field)
• Previous experience teaching young learners is a plus
• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (preferred)
• Strong communication and adaptability skills
• Enthusiasm, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for teaching young students
