The Strategic Account Manager will have primary responsibility for revenue and growth of Strategic account in Seoul South Korea, to work with the LGC senior Management on strategic initiatives to enhance relationship with customer and improve profitability and revenue for Diagnostics and Genomics product lines. The individual will function as an on-site technical and operational support advocate for Strategic account and be able to effectively and efficiently relay communication bidirectionally between LGC and Strategic account critical functional teams across R&D, Customer Service, and IT to ensure exceptional services and support to the Strategic account. The role will be based out of Seoul, Korea, reporting to commercial and shall act as the bridge with our Custom Oligonucleotide Manufacturing Unit in California. Having intricate knowledge of customer’s changing needs and the ability to coordinate projects, manage expectations and serve as interface between Strategic account Seoul Korea and LGC Biosearch in USA. The role shall readily pick up technical knowhow in Oligo synthesis, offer in-house technical expertise and support, while also having skills-sets to manage customer expectations and address challenges professionally. The role shall also include working with Strategic account intimately to understand their new product development and operational improvement projects and be able to leverage and offer the broader range of products across our Diagnostics and Genomics division into Strategic account.
This role requires a blend of laboratory process knowledge, understanding of scientific techniques and associated applications, strong organisational skills and project management skills, client communications, client management and service, product expertise, and critical thinking.
The Strategic Account Manager shall also be taking on a secondary role in coordinating and managing the day to day liaison of South Korea Distributors across our Diagnostics and Genomics portfolio working closely with Managers of the regional APAC commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
- Manages and achieves new sales results as assigned by leading a strategic sales process. Accountability includes revenue, and unit goals. This role will require networking at various levels within targeted client organizations from C-level executives to lab scientists and support personnel, and will include facilitation of ideation and vision sessions, proposal development, negotiation, and contracting within corporate guidelines to achieve results. The account manager will be expected to manage a solution-oriented sales process that will involve various resources and projects during the sales cycle Responsible to formulate commercial agreements, ensuring approvals in line with company policy, licensing and legal requirements.
- Facilitates quarterly business reviews with strategic customers to present and review current business and clearly understand direction and key projects within customers, enabling growth within current customer base and forward capacity planning.
- Primary contact for all customer and LGC Biosearch communications and projects
- Key point for technical queries between customer and Biosearch operations / Tech support
- Coordinate product delivery requirements between the customer and production
- Communicate customer forecasts and production priorities
- Facilitate efficient delivery of product from manufacturing to the customer site
- Improve transit time of product from Customs to the customer production site
- Support the sales organization during the sales process as the primary technical resource
- Assist with the development of application notes, user guides and other documents necessary to drive sales in the Asia Pacific region
- Provide input to strategic planning & New Product Development reviews
자격 요건
- Fluent in Korean and English – speaking, reading, and writing
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Sciences
- Knowledge of PCR & q PCR applications
- Knowledge of Synthetic Oligo Synthesis preferred
- Significant experience in a customer-facing role and previous Key or Strategic Account manager experience will be a plus.
