Responsibilities:
- End-to-end AP and AR accounting activities ensuring that the transactional journals are being posted accurately and timely onto Xero i.e. prepayments, accruals, inventory, reallocations, etc.
- Management of Fixed Assets including monthly depreciation and capitalisation of new assets.
- Support with the entire month-end and year-end account close process
- Ensure the month-end process checklist is followed and deadlines respected.
- Ensuring Credit Card statements/expenses are reported and reconciled into Xero
- Completion of VAT reconciliations and returns.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assist with the preparations for audits and provide supporting schedules and documentation as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as requested by the Financial Controller
Skills/Experience required:
- Xero experience is advantageous.
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- At least 3 years of account experience
- Studying towards Accounting Qualification i.e. AAT, ACCA, CIMA
- Competent user of MS Office
- Experience within retail/hospitality is beneficial
- Work well under pressure with good organisation skills
