Compliance Specialist - Spain

As part of our mission to expand globally, we are looking for a skilled Compliance Specialist to support our operations in Spain.
As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Ndax Spain complies with all applicable Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective compliance controls, ensuring regulatory reporting and safeguarding the company against compliance risks. This position requires a deep understanding of local Spanish regulations and European compliance standards.

As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Ndax Spain complies with all applicable Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective compliance controls, ensuring regulatory reporting and safeguarding the company against compliance risks. This position requires a deep understanding of local Spanish regulations and European compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain and update Ndax’s KYC/AML policies and procedures in line with Spanish and European regulations.
- Oversee and manage the KYC/AML processes for new and existing customers, ensuring that all procedures meet regulatory standards once Ndax becomes operational in Spain
- Stay up to date with the latest regulatory changes in Spain and the EU, ensuring that Ndax remains compliant with all relevant laws.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors and legal counsel as necessary to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit all necessary compliance and regulatory reports to the relevant authorities, including periodic and event-driven reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of compliance activities and findings.
- Conducting risk assessments, compliance audits and developing remedial action plans as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in compliance or regulatory affairs, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish and European regulatory requirements, including AML and KYC legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
