About Transport & Environment
Transport & Environment (T&E) is Europe's leading environmental association for clean transport. Our vision is an emission-free mobility system that is affordable and has minimal impact on our health and the environment. Since our foundation 30 years ago, T&E has helped shape some of the most important environmental legislation in Europe. We pushed the EU to set the world's most ambitious CO2 standards for cars and trucks, but also helped expose the Dieselgate scandal; we have successfully lobbied for the elimination of palm oil diesel, a global ban on dirty marine fuels and the creation of the Aviation Emissions Trading Scheme, the world's largest aviation carbon market, to name just a few.
We develop fact-based solutions and concepts, and create our own analyzes and commission studies. We conduct an intensive dialogue with representatives from politics, business and civil society. In addition, we set up cross-industry projects with companies and organize public events on current transport policy developments. Our staff in Brussels, Rome, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw and London work with our 63 national member and partner organisations. In total, our members and supporters represent more than 3.5 million people.
