Whitewater is headquartered in Bray, Co. Wicklow and operates from European bases in Spain, Sweden, Italy and UK, with plans for further offices to open in Germany, Denmark and Finland. The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on off-site construction methods of delivering turnkey projects, meaning on-site construction time is kept to a minimum.
Role Description
Due to continued expansion, we require a full-time Financial Controller located on-site in Spain reporting into the Chief Financial Officer and the Spanish Country Manager. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the overall management of finances for the Spanish Company which is the key growth location for the Group.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of Group Consolidated Financial Statements, Reporting Packs and KPI's for the Group (Ireland, Spain, UK, Sweden, Italy, Finland etc)
Involvement in Acquisitions
Ensuring Balance Sheet of all Spanish Companies are Reconciled on Monthly Basis
Manage year end process to include liaising with auditors
Ensuring Intercompany transactions reconcile
Ensuring Tax compliance for local companies
Ensuring costs get correctly allocated to correct projects and Nominal Codes
Liaising with other Country Financial Leads as required
Other duties as required
Some travel is required
Requirements
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Qualified Accountant with +7 years post-qualified experience - international experience preferred
Experience in Project Accounting
Excellent communicator and Team Player
Problem Solver
Experience in Practice or Construction sector desirable but not essential
