Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile General Finance Manager to join our seed startup with operations in the USA and Spain. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our company, ensuring fiscal health, and supporting our growth strategy across both markets. You will work closely with the founding and leadership team to establish and maintain robust financial systems, processes, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's short-term and long-term objectives
• Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, treasury, reporting, and analysis for both USA and Spain operations
• Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with local regulations in both countries
• Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and maintaining relationships with banks and investors
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for the leadership team and potential investors
• Manage payroll, benefits, and compensation processes for employees in both the USA and Spain, as well as establish expense management
• Collaborate with sales and legal on commercial agreements, especially reviewing financial conditions and related risks
• Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations in both countries
• Assist in fundraising efforts by preparing financial projections and supporting documents for potential investors
• Implement and oversee financial software and systems appropriate for a growing, international startup
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years in a management position
• Experience working in a startup environment and/or with international operations, particularly in the USA and Spain
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Spanish accounting principles
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
• Familiarity with FP&A tools like Causal or Abacum
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing small teams
• Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with fundraising and investor relations in a startup context
• Knowledge of international tax laws and regulations, particularly for US and Spanish markets
• Familiarity with financial software and systems such as Quick Books, Xero, or Net Suite
• Understanding of key metrics and KPIs relevant to startups and Saa S businesses
• Experience with currency hedging and international financial risk management
