Overview:
We are looking for a skilled IT Installation Technician to oversee the uninstallation and installation
of IT devices and peripherals at our store in El Corte Ingles, Guadalajara. This role requires
precision and expertise in handling IT hardware and networking tasks, ensuring that all
installations are completed efficiently and effectively within the designated timeline.
Responsibilities:
1. Uninstall existing IT devices: Safely remove sales area IT devices and MPOs tills along with
peripherals.
2. Documentation through photographs: Take and share pictures of the backoffice, rack
cabinet, and uninstalled devices with the TCS Retail Team via Whats App.
3. Network hardware installation: Set up Meraki Router, Switch, and Access Point in the
concept store's rack.
4. Setup of sales area: Install tills and associated peripherals in the sales area.
5. Network connectivity: Connect tills and payment terminals to the network as per the
guidelines provided by the retail team.
6. Peripheral device setup: Connect non-IT devices, such as the Surface laptop and
configure it with the store email ID.
7. Printer installation: Connect an A4 printer to the network, install necessary drivers on tills
and the Surface laptop, and perform functionality tests.
8. Testing and troubleshooting: Assist the retail team in testing the setup, ensuring all
devices function seamlessly.
9. Additional device connectivity: Set up i Pads and C&C receipt printers to the network and
confirm operational status through testing.
[*****] documentation: Share all required pictures post-installation and complete the onsite
checklist. Obtain a sign-off from the store manager confirming the successful completion of
tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT hardware installation and networking.
- Strong understanding of network configuration and device setup.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues swiftly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Must be dependable, and detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
