Our mission

Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society, with climate volatility reducing the security of all land-based assets and posing a multi-level security threat for the functioning of enterprises, societies, and governments.

Mitiga is a spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, which hosts Mare Nostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe.

Mitiga's mission is firmly rooted in employing cutting-edge science and technology to mitigate the multifaceted risks posed by climate-driven perils. Our approach spans a spectrum of temporal scales, from real-time and annual forecasts to projections spanning the next century. This comprehensive perspective on risk, coupled with our capacity to transfer risks to capital markets via catastrophe bonds, positions us to significantly contribute to enhanced climate mitigation, resilience, and equity.

What you'll do

• Provide day to day technical support to internal customers (internal end-users)
  
• Document, track and monitor users’ problems to ensure swift resolution through common user request management systems (Jira Ticketing, Teams, etc.)
  
• Administration of all different platforms (AD, Github, Teams, Jira, etc..)
  
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks and applications
  
• Work with the team to create process, documentation and aim for global standardization to help streamline and speed up support
  
• Enforce collaboration and shared practices with the rest of the IT team
  
• Pro-actively monitor the status of IT infrastructure, software and requests, determine any issues or potential problems and recommend solutions
  
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
  
• Contribute to global IT initiatives with professional knowledge and local insights.
  
• Become a point of contact at the local office for any IT request
  

About the candidate

• Proven experience in equivalent role acquired in a fast-paced and international environment
  
• Passion to deliver a world-class customer service experience
  
• Experience with user support process (Jira & Confluence), MDM & Identity Provider Management (Ninja One)
  
• Experience with Exchange and Microsoft IAM tools
  
• Extended experience in supporting both Win OS, Linux and Mac OS computers & devices
  
• Strong experience of corporate networking and security practices
  
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  
• Fluent in English at professional working level, Spanish desirable
  
• Availability to work from our Barcelona offices 2-3 days/weekly
