Team Introduction
We are responsible for providing legal support and strategic advice on all commercial activities across the region. Our team focuses on contract negotiation, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regional regulations. We're here to safeguard the company’s interests and support business growth across continental Europe.

Responsbilities

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts including, among others, media buying agreements and agency partnerships; creative agency and marketing agreements; talent agreements and image releases; collaboration agreements; sponsorship agreements, etc.
• Advise on initiatives to support creators and activations of Tik Tok's operations team plans.
• Advise on a broad range of compliance issues relating to advertising, monetization, consumer protection, media, etc. regulations relevant to the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
• Proactively identify potential risks arising from the Spanish and Portuguese legal ecosystem and liaise with different XFN legal colleagues and senior business leads to address the said risks.
• Support the wider legal team with a variety of matters affecting Spain and Portugal, including litigation and regulatory matters, intellectual property and privacy. Support and advise the government relations and public policy teams in advocacy work.
• Support knowledge management, template development (including playbooks), process improvement, and training.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Be independent and capable of making decisions autonomously, demonstrating a high degree of self-reliance and judgment.
• Ideally have experience advising platforms, digital content, or advertising businesses, either based in private practice or in-house.
• Have an understanding of digital advertising, digital rights acquisition, and familiarity with the privacy issues in this environment with a strong grounding in GDPR.
• Have strong commercial acumen and be comfortable taking commercial decisions, demonstrating a risk appetite to help the business achieve its goals while protecting Tik Tok interests and mitigating legal risk.
• Have solid experience in drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Have a highly collaborative style and strong interpersonal skills, with an exceptional ability to interact with and connect different teams within the legal and business organization when necessary.
• Business proficiency in Spanish and English, as the role will support these regions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience of working in an international business is a plus.
• Be passionate about the law mixed with a pragmatic work style.
• Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in intellectual property rights and data protection, ensuring compliance and safeguarding company interests.
• Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential risks for Tik Tok arising from respective legislation.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and Italian are plus but not mandatory, as the role will support these regions.
