QA Automation Engineer

Counter Craft is looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Quality Assurance and Development team as a QA Automation Engineer.
Counter Craft is the leading adversary-generated cyber security threat intelligence solution powered by deception techniques.
Counter Craft offers excellent threat detection capabilities, effectively safeguarding against nation-state threat actors and all cyber adversaries. With an established track record of national security implementations, its adversary-generated threat detection platform empowers law enforcement and national defense and security organizations to swiftly detect, investigate and thwart advanced cyber threats at an accelerated pace.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of QA supporting them in growing and developing the department and team with a significant focus on best practices and automation to support the business during its rapid growth phase.
Job Brief
We are looking for a new team member with quality-driven expertise, attention to detail and someone who likes to follow and implement QA best practices and methodology. The candidate will join the QA team to support and improve the quality standards and development methodology.
You will report directly to our Head of QA, coordinating closely with the Development and Product teams.
Counter Craft is based out of our offices in San Sebastian, located in Miramon’s tech hub. This role may be located within commuting distance from our head office or as a remote working role.
What will be your responsibilities?
As the Quality Assurance Assistant / Manager at Counter Craft, you will:

What will be your responsibilities?
As the Quality Assurance Assistant / Manager at Counter Craft, you will:
- Identify issues, flaws and potential bugs and be able to communicate them via tickets.
- Read code and review MR to verify the solution to be implemented.
- Planning of test cases and update the testing process.
- Automate test cases to improve efficiency and scalability and accuracy of testing.
- Automate necessary scenarios for testing.
- Help to improve development standards.
- Provide clear and concise reporting on test and QA results.
- Previous experience with testing methodologies and technologies (e.g. Behave, Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
- API automations knowledge.
- 2+ years of experience in automation.
- Experience working inside development and QA teams.
- Certifications such as ISTQB (desirable).
- Attention to detail and good communication skills to clearly explain the issue.
- Organized and be able to document the work.
- Proactively provide suggestions.
- Desire to take ownership of work and results for continuous improvement.
- Infrastructure and base OS knowledge (Windows and Linux distributions).
- Strong scoping and reporting writing skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and discipline.
- Advanced English language communication skills.
- Self-motivated working style.

- Salary range: Base salary and variable bonus according to experience and subject to review annually.
