Communications Coordinator – a broad and hands-on role to Stockholm School of Economics

Are you a proactive communicator who excels at building relationships and driving impactful communication? The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is seeking a Communications Coordinator with a hands-on approach, ready to take on diverse projects in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

You will take ownership of your tasks, drive projects and develop content, all through active communication and close partnership with the organization and other teams at the External Relations unit. We are looking for a go-getter who is ready to bring new initiatives, a driven approach and effective communication solutions to help drive SSE’s communication forward.

The role

As Communications Coordinator, you will play an essential role in bringing the Stockholm School of Economics’ communication initiatives to life. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing both day-to-day operations and projects that enhance the school’s brand. Key responsibilities include creating compelling content, overseeing digital platforms, and supporting communication efforts across the school. You will also contribute to the intranet's success by assisting with its integration into the organization. This role is part of the Communications and Marketing team within the External Relations unit, and you will report directly to the Director of Communications and Marketing.

Key responsibilities:

Content creation and management
Digital and social media management
Developing and implementing communication strategies and plans
Lead or assist in various communication projects
Supporting the implementation of a new intranet
Production management for printed materials
Conducting market and competitor analysis
Assisting with crisis and reputation management

Qualifications

We are seeking a flexible and driven communicator who is both structured and relationship-oriented. You enjoy hands-on work and operational challenges in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. A creative, problem-solving mindset with the ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining quality is essential.

Requirements:

Experience from similar tasks, preferably also some project management experience
Educational background in communications
Exceptional communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English

Meritorious:

Work experience from higher education settings
