At RWE Renewables Sweden, our team of over 160 professionals is dedicated to the development, construction, and operation of onshore and offshore wind farms, as well as the advancement of hydrogen projects that support the Swedish energy transition
To our growing business we are looking for a Communication Specialist with the responsibility for planning and implementing various communication initiatives both in individual projects and for the entire business. This position is a one year fixed-term employment to cover for a parental leave.
You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the entire organisation such as Corporate Communications and Employer Branding, the Swedish management team, the project development teams and support functions.

Main areas of responsibility

Drive and coordinate the company's strategic and operational communication work.
In collaboration with project teams, develop and coordinate communication plans and activities for the projects.
Main contact for Swedish media.
Prepare and align press releases and interview preparations as well as replying to media enquiries in close cooperation with RWE’s Media Relations team.
Coordinate and develop Social Media content for Sweden in close cooperation with RWE Social Media Team.
Follow local debate, community development and conversational climate in relevant regions to be able to adapt project communication to local conditions.
Develop debate posts, remarks, advertisements and material for professional presentations and printed matter.
Make sure our social media and web content is up to date, relevant and attractive to our target groups.
Drive the Employer branding agenda and actively participate in meetings, conferences and other initiatives.

Qualifications for the role
To be successful in this position we believe you have a relevant university education and at least five years of work experience of strategic and operational communication work, preferably in the energy industry and in a larger multinational corporation. You have a very good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing and you are fluent in both Swedish and English.
We put great emphasis on your personal characteristics. To thrive in this role, you are genuinely interested and have a good understanding of energy issues and the energy industry. You have the ability and interest to not only develop ideas and initiatives, but also carry them through in practise.
As a person you are a curious, committed and responsive and understands the importance of communication as a driving force for societal change. You are flexible and have an open and positive approach to challenges that arise and can present proposals for solutions that challenge old ways of working with new angles and reasoning. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge of environmental legislation or permit processes in general and for wind power in particular.
