Job Description:
Are you a data management expert with a strong understanding of how data governance drives business value? We’re looking for a talented Data Management Architect to join our AI, Analytics, and Data Tech Center within the Data Governance & Community Unit. In this key role, you'll design the future data management architecture, drive collaboration across teams, and evaluate cutting-edge tools and technologies. Your work will help create a unified, fit-for-purpose data infrastructure that supports both operational and analytical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess & Analyze: Evaluate current data management practices and tools to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Design the Future: Lead the development of a target data architecture and roadmap for data management, ensuring it aligns with business needs and goals.
- Drive Technology Decisions: Lead the requirements-gathering process and help define RFI/RFP for acquiring new data management technologies.
- Educate & Empower: Act as the subject matter expert, providing guidance and training on data management best practices to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate: Work closely with data governance specialists, information architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of a federated data governance model.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Data Management & Governance: Proven experience in designing and implementing data management strategies in large enterprises, with a focus on data governance.
- Target Architecture & Tooling: Hands-on experience in defining target data architectures and evaluating data management tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- RFI/RFP & Requirements Gathering: Experience in collecting requirements and leading RFI/RFP processes.
- Leadership: Ability to mentor teams and drive the adoption of data management best practices.
- Agile & Project Management: Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management.
- (Preferred) Experience with project management and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
