About the position
The Freight Manager is responsible to lead the daily operations for Maurten´s freight team, on a high level that includes to coordinate, optimize and execute all internal transports. This role plays a key part in optimizing and managing the flow of goods within the company’s supply chain around the world.
Key responsibilities are to future proof the operations, in other words; optimize systems, tools and best practices for the freight team to be more efficient in terms of volumes and cost effectiveness. Further the Freight Manager is expected to secure excellence around documentation requirements for freight, import/export, and movement of goods in general.
Some travel to our international warehouses and suppliers is required in the role.

Job responsibilities
- Participate actively in the daily operations for the freight team.
- Speaking partner for Freight team in various questions around new trade routes and new sales channels.
- Represent the logistics department in internal cross functional discussion around fright, incoterm, export and customs.
- Support the Maurten Operations team around the work of Country of Origin for new products and potential risk on change of existing products.
- Drive and support future external marketplace and drop shipping solutions.

- Higher Vocational Education, or similar, within logistics
- 3-5 years of experience within logistics. A broad role is desirable.
- Good knowledge around international trade; customs, trade routes, incoterms, insurance.
- Experience of working with large external marketplaces is preferred
- Good knowledge in using Excel and preferably also in ERP or WMS systems.
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Bases in Gothenburg, Sweden.
