Your role and responsibilities

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic Head of Startup Scouting to join our team at Syner Leap and help shape a future where innovative digital technologies enable greater access to cleaner energy! In this role, you will scout and mentor startups from around the world, supporting their growth within the global Syner Leap industrial ecosystem. Furthermore, you will guide our corporate partners on strategic roadmaps by staying ahead of technology trends, perform competitive landscape analyses and continuously monitor and scout the global startups scene. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing scalable frameworks, processes, and tools that enhance the efficiency of our ecosystem. You’ll track KPIs, continually refine processes for quality and scalability, and organize webinars for startups, global employees, and partners. Additionally, you will plan and execute new initiatives to foster collaboration between startups, ABB, and our close partners. You’ll facilitate these collaborations to ensure startup offerings are integrated into strategic technology roadmaps and provide guidance and coaching to startups and individuals to help them understand and navigate our global ecosystem. Building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders will also be essential, as you identify opportunities for startups to boost productivity and expand their portfolios. Qualifications for the role

• Technical and Business Expertise: Strong expertise in both technology and business; an MSc is expected, while advanced degrees such as a Ph D and an MBA are advantageous.
• Business Growth: Proven track record in scaling new businesses and driving growth.
• Sales Experience: Sales experience, including direct customer interactions from scanning the market, selecting prospects, to eventually converting prospects into partners/customers. Demonstrated ability to attract new startups to our platform ecosystem.
• Leadership: Previous leadership or management experience is preferred.
• International Experience: Experience working in an international setup, ideally with a background in both startups (preferably as an entrepreneur) and global corporations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in complex, cross-functional, and multicultural teams with sometimes diverging stakeholder expectations. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Target Oriented and Strong Inner Driver: Demonstrates a strong focus on achieving goals and meeting targets, exhibits a well-organized and methodical approach to tasks and projects, and possesses a powerful internal motivation and commitment to succeed and excel.
