About the Role
In the newly established Head of Warehouse Operations role, you will be integral to our e-commerce operations, responsible for our three current warehouse locations in the Malmö area. You will lead warehouse team managers and be accountable for all aspects of the warehouses’ operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, employee satisfaction, and occupational safety. A collaborative spirit is essential, alongside a proactive approach to enhancing processes, systems, and teamwork.
Rugvista is currently building a new state-of-the-art warehouse to consolidate and semi-automate all warehouse operations. Expected to be operational in Malmö by 2025, your role will involve setting up new processes, KPIs, and systems for the new warehouse. You will be responsible for the transition plan and for managing warehouse operations in our future facility.
How You Make an Impact

• Manage all aspects of the warehouse's operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Adjust operational strategies based on performance data and strategic objectives.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse operations and performance to upper management.
• Oversee the warehouse teams and ensure optimal staffing.
• Offer leadership, training, guidance, and support to team managers and staff, empowering them to excel in their roles.
• Regularly review KPIs to assess warehouse efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage daily operations to optimize the use and maintenance of conveyors, sortation systems, and handling equipment.
• Lead WMS operations, resolving issues, boosting system efficiency, and integrating it with other warehouse tech.
• Implement LEAN methodologies to refine e-commerce warehouse processes and maximize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Report directly to the Chief Operations Officer who is part of the company's executive leadership team.
• Actively participate in setting up the new warehouse by coordinating supplier interactions and technology integration, leading the WMS strategy for seamless collaboration across Tech, operations, and vendors, and establishing the KPI framework for the new site.

What you bring

• Proven leadership in managing diverse warehouse teams and operational efficiency.
• Effective communication across all levels and strong reporting skills to senior management.
• Expertise in analyzing and utilizing KPIs to drive warehouse productivity.
• Proficient in fostering a collaborative team environment and managing team leaders.
• Skilled in WMS and integrated material handling systems oversight.
• Knowledge of LEAN principles to optimize warehouse operations (e.g., 5S, VSM, Kanban).
• Commitment to upholding safety regulations and quality standards.
• Fluent in English and knowledgeable in Swedish.
• Extensive experience in a similar role.
• Expertise in Excel, ERP, and TMS systems.
