Allakando is one of Sweden’s largest education companies and the fastest growing company for private tutoring, courses and digital educational tools. Our mission is to accelerate people's growth - academically as well as personally - and our learning solution is a blend between classic in-person tutoring and online learning tools.

Our product range also contains the largest nanny agency in the country - my Nanny - and on top of that we are currently scaling Allakando to France.

Team and Technology

Allakando’s technology stack focuses heavily on Next.js and modern web development standards with a strong focus on technology agnosticism. This allows us to have a tight and concentrated dev team that can create a lot of value. The team consists of 3 skilled full-stack developers and our CTO, all working in Lund.
We deploy our services and applications through serverless containers in GCP. For our front-end we have developed our own design system that is implemented through a library of web components, utilities and stylesheets. For building our applications we primarily use React, Next.js and Node.js.
Our office is situated on the entire second floor of Lund’s station building. We offer a hybrid-solution with a high degree of flexibility where you can either work on-site here at the office or up to 2-3 days per week remotely.

About the role

In your role, you will of course work across the entire stack. As our lead full-stack engineer we will also count on you to contribute a lot when things get really tricky. If you feel that you have the process and experience to tackle almost any tech challenge, then this role could be the perfect one for you
The position does not initially come with leadership responsibility, but it could very well develop into that if that's what you are aiming for and you do well within the team.
We use agile to coordinate our work and we have a tight collaboration with the product team who we sit right next to in the office. The atmosphere in the team is easy-going but focused. We think it's important to deliver value, as well as having fun while doing it! We try hard to keep things simple.
We also believe in an innovative environment where everyone's personal development is central. This means having regular hackathons, time and funds allocated to attending courses and we are open to more ideas.

About you

You love what you do. Other than that, we believe that you have:

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Strong knowledge in:
  • Next.js, React and Type Script
  • Relational databases
  • Automated testing
• Experience with CI/CD and operations

You believe in:

• Comprehensive automated testing (unit, integration, UI)
• Prioritising clear, readable code over short, clever code
• Being generous with in-code documentation
• Taking time out of your day to help a colleague

It's a plus if you also have:

• Leadership experience
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge in Next.js
• Experience with:
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Docker & Docker Compose
  • Bitbucket Pipelines
  • Postgres
• Good knowledge of Webpack and Vitest (or Jest)
