Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Karlskrona. You will be working at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility specializing in high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, featuring the world's largest HVDC test lab.
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be an expert resource within power and automation, supporting the production department with automation and electrical design tasks. You will play a crucial role in deciding and validating automation solutions for new machinery and equipment upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• PLC Programming and Electrical Design: Work on automation projects for machines and production equipment.

• Automation Solutions Development: Develop both small-scale and large-scale automation solutions.

• Process Improvement: Help create routines and instructions for the automation development team.

• Innovation Forum Participation: Attend and contribute to innovation forums focused on automation.

• Team Collaboration: Take part in regular automation development group meetings.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Solid background in automation engineering, programming, and project work in a producing industry.
• Software Skills: Proficient in using Eplan, ABB, Siemens, and other automation software.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Personal Traits: You are a thorough, responsible individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Requirements:
Our client is looking for a skilled automation engineer expert with high quality workmanship who is curious and eager to learn new things. You thrive in a role with high level of collaboration with your team colleagues as well as with other departments.
To succeed in this role, you need to be thorough and appreciate taking responsibility for your own work and its output.
Start: ASAP
End: The contract will run for over a year, with expected demand until 2027.
