Context:
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director General for Management and Reform, the
Change Management Division supports the Leadership Team to identify priorities in
transformation initiatives and delivers on reform initiatives under the Internal Governance
Framework, in alignment with IOM’s Strategic Plan.
The Division is responsible for overseeing, supporting and monitoring, in accordance with best
practices, IOM’s organization-wide transformation investments and reform initiatives, aimed at
continuously improving organizational performance, including IOM’s contributions to the Global
Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

- Support the responsible Departments and Offices to develop and deploy effective planning,
initiatives agreed by IOM’s leadership, working through established governance structures and
project committees as appropriate.

resourced, fit-for-purpose across the organization, and that obstacles in the change process are
identified in a timely fashion and resolved satisfactorily.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Law, Business
relevant professional experience; or,
- University degree in the above fields with twelve years of relevant professional experience
- Work experience within the UN system, particularly in leading and/or coordinating institutional
- Work experience with change management, monitoring and reporting, management of

- Proven knowledge of and experience in implementing change management principles and
- Having certification on change management (e.g. UNSSC Change Management) is an

IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be
fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another
official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process,
which may include written and/or oral assessments.
