Our client, a leading central bank in Zurich, seeks a Dev Ops Engineer to drive cloud-native application onboarding, team integration on shared platforms, and automation within Markets Technology. The role requires expertise in microservices and distributed systems to support global operations efficiently.

Tasks

• Drive the onboarding of our applications to the Cloud Native Stack
• Drive the onboarding of our teams to common platforms (Observability Testing Frameworks, …)
• Be a driver for Standardization and Automation within Markets Technology
• Support to foster the engineering culture within your team
• Bring proven expertise in engineering practices and processes
• and have experience operating and supporting critical business systems on a global scale
• Your experience with microservices, cloud-native applications and
  distributed systems will help us propel our business growth
• As part of a highly collaborative team, contribute to the future
  Software Solutions strategy of the Markets division
• Support maintaining common platforms within Markets

Requirements

• Experience and proficiency in architecting and writing code for microservices and distributed applications
• Operators, helm chart creation and maintenance
• Development background (java, dotnet, scala, python, javascript frontends)
• Deep architectural experience, and ability to elicit NFRs and document system designs
• Good understanding of communication stacks (Rabbit Mq, Kafka, GRPC, web sockets)
• Heavy CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Team City, Git Lab, Octopus Deploy, maven, dotnet)
• Kubernetes deployments and experience with distributed architectures, and low-latency systems
• Experience with Azure Application Platform, especially AKS
• Observability tools (Grafana, Elastic Search, fluent-bit, Open Telemetry)
• Scripting skills (bash, powershell)
• Ability to work on both Linux and Windows infrastructure
• Good understanding of security topics such as Oauth 2.0, TLS, and vulnerability scanning
• Fluency in English

• Must be a self motivator and be able to work with minimal direction
