Freelance Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled L1/L2 Network Engineer to join ENCS Networks for Freelance Based Projects in Geneva, Switzerland. In this freelance role, you will work with ENCS and provide on-site support for network infrastructure on a freelance basis, handling network monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and user support as needed for specific tasks or projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network systems for performance issues.
- Support setup and configuration of network devices
- Use tools to detect and address potential disruptions.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents as according to the relevant scope of work given by Team ENCS
- Implement approved changes for secure and efficient operations.
- Create clear, task-based documentation for completed work.
- Provide summaries of network status and solutions.
- Communicate effectively with ENCS team on issue progress and resolutions.
- Network basic toolkit containing screwdriver set, set of console cables, LAN tester, punching tool, Laptop with Team viewer installed and mobile phone.
- Local Residency or Active Visa status
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CCNA, Comp TIA Network+, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- Experience: 1–4 years of experience in network support or related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience installing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some physical work may be required, such as lifting equipment or running cables.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: Up to CHF34.00 per hour
