Project / Role:
For our customer from the logistics industry in Bern, we are looking for a full-stack Dev Ops Java Kafka Angular Engineer. With you, we will build the new system landscape for route planning for our delivery staff, solve complex optimization problems together and create the technological basis for efficient planning on the last mile. We rely on a modern microservice architecture and also use machine learning to calculate the most efficient and optimal routes for the delivery staff based on data.
Main tasks:

• You will become part of a Scrum Dev Ops team and work together with Java developers, machine learning engineers, business analysts and UX specialists.
• From the very beginning, you can help design a new solution that will ensure optimal planning.
• You use current technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and Angular.
• Together with your team, you are responsible for ensuring that high-quality and tested code is created and that the sprint goals are achieved.
• You enjoy learning from other people with expertise and are excited to be able to share your knowledge.

Requirements:

• You have a degree from a university or technical college with a focus on software development or comparable practical experience.
• You have at least three years of experience in developing Java applications.
• You know Spring Boot, Angular, Kafka and are familiar with the concept of microservices. You are familiar with RESTful APIs and Swagger.
• Because of your high quality standards, commented out code, code without unit tests and pushes to the master branch without review make you cringe.
• You have already worked in a Scrum team, know the methodology and see yourself as a team player.
• You communicate confidently in German, both orally and in writing, and have very good English skills.
